The buyer was doctor  George Wilson from Lafayette, California
Before buying this car in 1973, George Wilson leased a 1971 911 Porsche T 5 speed.
Funny fact, doctor Wilson did not like the original recaro sport seat and asked the dealer to replace them by comfort leather seat. He paid $245 to the dealer for the replacement and the dealer gave him $100 for the Recaro
I do not have the original set of recaro sport. The current  leather comfort seats has been inside the car for 45 years

He drove it until the 12/24/1996 when the car was put in storage
We have 70 invoices that cover his period of ownership

In 2009, a Porsche collector bought the car and bring it for the first time from California to N.Y State.
They car stay in a climate control garage along other dozen of 911 for few years.

In 2018, I bought the car for my own collection
I immediately send the car for an inspection and did the following:
* Fuel pump (Porsche OE, special order to Porsche in Germany)
* Fuel accumulator
* 4 shock and struts
* Brake pads

I have no reasons to believe the car was in an accident. Everything is straight and I don’t see any invoices relative to a repair in a body shop

The car is quite rust free but we did find some rust under the passenger door. We send the car to my body shop to fix the door (invoice)

Carpet is brand new and is made from the original material haargarn velour ‘pepper & salt’. This is the original specification for the ’73 911S (or appearance group).

Front seats has been reupholstery with the correct pattern for 1973 cars

The car has the correct front and rear bumperette rubbers for a 73 ½ US car. I changed the rear one by European style because I like more the look but I kept the original bumperette if you want to have the car back 100% stock

The dashboard shows the usual cracks. I do have a cover but personally I like more the original look
The cover will be sold with the car in any case.

This car needs nothing. Transmission works well, engine is very healthy, especially after 3500RPM
All the gauges are working

Porsche divided the production of the 1973 model into two segments. They built the first segment of 1973 production in the last half of 1972 and they built the second segment in the first half of 1973 (1973-1/2). The 1973-1/2 was the first Porsche 911 with the Bosch CIS fuel-injection system, which Porsche used for the next 10 years. That CIS system in the 1973-1/2 was only available on the 911T Coupe and 911T Targa, and all of those units were shipped to the USA. Production

The 1973-1/2 911T is the last model built with the long hood body style, which gave the classic 911 its legendary profile. It is also the last model with the 2.4 engine, one of the most dependable engines Porsche ever built.
2.4 MFI gain 10hp (130@5600 -> 140HP@5700) et 8 feet of torque compared to carb (144lbft@4000 -> 148lbft@4000)

This car is also equipped with a Sportomatic 4-speed transmission. It has a torque converter that allows the driver to leave the gear shift in the “D” position and avoid the repetitive clutching in and out in heavy traffic. In normal driving, the driver can shift up or down, but with no clutch. The second the driver touches the gearshift, a micro switch activates a vacuum pump that disengages the engine instantaneously. This transmission was a special order in 1973
